-NEW RECORD: MACHINE-

The new album is out now, this is called "MACHINE". They started recording in June, and finished mixing the whole thing in the beginning of October, better late than never. Also, maybe a live record of the punky-reggae tour will come out on Dialektik rds.

This one is out on Gearhead for US/Canada, Newest Industries for the UK, My First Sonny Weissmuller for the Benelux and Dialektik for France. It seems so like a well conceived plan to take over the world. Feaver laughs. "They are the only people that really like our music and are truly interested in what we are doing", he explains. This time the band has taken full advantage of the fact that different labels will release the record in different territories. Each release comes with a unique sleeve based on a common template. Top Dutch artist as Peter Pontiac, Roel Smit, Luuk Bode, Vince, Erik Kriek and Amsterdam based American Eryc have made designs to fit the template.

Here are the six differents recordsleeves of MACHINE.

BANG-BANG ! Let's go straight to the point. This record is the best they've ever released,  the sound is a bit more garage, dirtier than the previous ones, a bit between Veni, vidi, Vicious from the Hives and Leaded, but for sure that's the roughest and classiest sound they've ever had. This is what hurt me first with Machine. But this remains real great NRA, songs are faster (but it doesn't mean speed excess ;-)) and even more simple than in new recovery (Sven lelt NRA, one guitar obvioulsly opened new possibilities)  though I thought they would have become slower ( there are still these fine mid-tempo songs though, and it means 16 songs in 26' ).The whole stuff of this one is more linear than New Recovery was, but this ain't no new Leaded, because Machine is certainly their angriest record to now (the sound and Aziz' voice, buddy!) and when it's still played with a high voltage energy and hot poppy melodies, this is by far their best opus. En clair, NRA m'a encore retourné comme une crêpe. Anyway, they get better at each new effort. It wouldn't be that bad if all they'll win is fame and glory.. .with that one.
